History
Since its origin, the palace has been the residence of the Cito family, an ancient Campanian noble family living in Salerno in the 13th century and later awarded the title of Marquis by King Charles III of Bourbon in the person of Baldassarre Cito. Some descendants moved around 1500 from their homeland first to the Terra di Bari (Bitonto) and later to the Terra d’ Otranto, settling in San Cassiano.
They were engaged in the cultivation and production of olive oil, giving birth around 1820 to one of the most important farms in Salento.

The facility
The rooms look out and have access to the inner garden of the Ancient Noble Palace.
Next to the centuries-old orange, mandarin and lemon trees and a cheerful bowling green shaded by an ancient strawberry grape arbor, there is a swimming pool and a relaxing area that complete and enhance the beauty of the XIX century garden.
In the long summer evenings our guests will be immersed in an atmosphere of ‘suspended time’ where one rediscovers the pleasure of savouring the slow passing of life, following the rhythms of the Salento.
The location is indeed an ideal place to enjoy absolute and exclusive privacy.
Attached to the garden, in an old barrel-vaulted winery, there is a small tasting room where you can savour the goodness of the organic olive oil produced directly by the Tenuta Tresca farm, served and enhanced by exquisite barley and wheat “friselle” made at zero km, also by the same farm.
